I found this in front of a Pachinko parlor in Sakai. He's the man, isn't he? Not Ryu... me. This poster sure brings back memories though. Posted by Picasa

A view of the Kofun from atop a skyscraper in Sakai. This photo still doesn't do the Kofun justice, so when I find a birds-eye photo of it, I'll post it. I know what you're thinking: "Enough about the tomb. We get it." Well, tough. Posted by Picasa

Yours truly in front of said tomb. This is as far as anyone is allowed to go, but there wasn't one guard in sight. A guard isn't needed, however, when you have two rows of large gates surrounded the sacred tomb. (/end sarcasm) Posted by Picasa

Ruriko and I standing in front of the gate to Emperor Nintoku's Kofun tomb. This tomb is the largest in the world, and was erected sometime around 400 AD. Unfortunately, no one is allowed inside the tomb, which resembles a huge park more than anything.  Posted by Picasa
